Diphenyl Carbazide, commonly abbreviated as DPC is a white-colored organic solid which is highly soluble in solvents like acetone and alcohol while showing little solubility with water. When oxidized with oxygen in the air, it turns pink; one of its differentiating properties. Diphenyl Carbazide is an organic compound essential for identifying, detecting, and analyzing chemical, pharmaceutical, biological or pathological processes. At least 16 different routes can be used to artificially synthesize Diphenyl Carbazide but mainly is done by the use of “Phenylhydrazine” and “Urea”.
